尼泊尔前总理、尼泊尔共产党(联社)资深领导人贾拉·纳特·卡纳尔(Jhala Nath Khanal)近期接受中新网专访时表示，推动跨喜马拉雅立体互联互通网络建设，如中尼跨境铁路项目，将助力尼泊尔完成从“陆锁国”到“陆联国”的转变，同时构建中华文明和南亚文明之间交流的重要桥梁。

　　此外，卡纳尔指出，尼泊尔水力资源丰富，具有发展水电的良好条件，他期待在水电等清洁能源领域，尼中两国能展开更密切的合作。(林卓玮)

　　The trans-Himalayan connectivity projects, epitomized by the China-Nepal cross-border railway project, would facilitate Nepal’s transition from a landlocked country to a land-linked one, contributing to the exchanges between the two ancient civilizations—the Chinese civilization and South Asia civilization, said Jhala Nath Khanal, Nepal’s former Prime Minister and a senior leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist), in an exclusive interview with China News Network recently.

　　Khanal was referring to China's Belt and Road Initiative.He emphasized the great potential for hydropower and clean energy development in Nepal and expects more projects to be carried out with China.
