Polyamory is from the root words Poly meaning many and Amour meaning love hence“many loves”or Polyamory. The term has now entered the OED.
Many people find it hard to stick to the confines of a monogamous relationship. Which is why in America more and more are now choosing‘polyamory' - to live in‘group marriages'.
--“When two just won't do,”
The Guardian,Nov.14,2003

A first marriage that lasts only a short time and that ends in a clean (i.e., no kids, no property, no acrimony) divorce.
“Marriage and family experts - psychologists, sociologists, lawyers and clergy - are beginning to look at these brief young unions, seeing in their implications a barometer of society's attitudes about marriage and divorce. Some say starter marriages signal the need for more premarital counseling.”
--“‘Starter' Marriages: So Early, So Brief,”
The New York Times

A marriage between a person of royal birth and a partner of lower rank, in which the latter has no royal status or title.
“It may be that many people in Britain would not seriously object to Charles marrying Camilla.... That being so, what should Camilla's status be? Our constitutional law, rightly, does not admit morganatic marriage.”
--“Don't they deserve a break now?”The Daily Mail (London)
